The Vermont Retaining Employment and Talent after Injury/Illness Network (VT RETAIN) is a work disability prevention program through the Vermont Department of Labor. The Program Specialist role provides technical assistance and support to the VT RETAIN grant team. They work closely with the VT RETAIN project directors, study coordinators, Work-Health coaches, TA Liaison, strategists, contractors, and partners to integrate activities across centers and serve as the cross-center liaison for the Clinical Coordinating Center. The person in this role also provides program and process coordination for project initiatives including needs assessment, material development, communications, education, data analysis, administration, compliance adherence, technology transfer, tracking and reporting. This role is the primary contact for processes, program-related activity, and system application. The role provides technical and administrative support for department processes and program operations.
Responsibilities :
Participates in the analysis and design of solutions for projects and processes of all levels of complexity, supports and collaborates with facilitators in execution and delivery of solutions; assists in conducting needs analysis for initiatives of all complexity levels
Compiles and synthesizes data and metrics for inclusion in reports, presentations, and other communications and prepares reports and distributes them to project team members and leadership as requested
Identifies opportunities to educate staff and advocates for programs and processes that support the program initiatives
Develops collateral materials and analytics for programs and processes that are project specific (i.e., learning, handbook, job aids, benefit and/or compensation materials) as appropriate and in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws
Acts as a central resource to organize, obtain, produce, and maintain program materials and process documents
Responsible for supporting the scheduling, delivery, and evaluation for programs and processes
Provides technical support for staff as needed related to tools and systems
Assists and serves as a team member on project initiatives
Performs other program specialist duties as required or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree 2+ years’ experience in an administrative/office setting
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Access preferred
Yellow Belt distinction preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meets deadlines in a high pressure environment
A self-starter, recognizing work to be done prior to being asked.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism and maintain high degree of confidentiality required.
