Qualifications:

• Core Java, TypeScript, Microservices, REST API.
• Scripting.
• AWS (Lambda, CodePipeline, API Gateway, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, AWS CLI).
• Docker, Kubernetes.
• Quarkus, GRAAL VM, Java 17, Mockito.
• OpenShift (PaaS), Podman.
• High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency.
• 2+ years of experience in Java, Full-stack, C#, .NET, and/or Python development.
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab, SonarQube, JUnit, Spring Boot.
• Proficient in writing and designing unit test cases using TDD and BDD methodologies.
• Experience with service virtualization for test automation using tools like WireMock, Mockito.
• Automation-focused: Expertise in designing and writing automated tests for backend applications and data flow using tools like Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, Ready API.
• Hands-on experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI.
• Broad experience with AWS Cloud serverless components and building/maintaining cloud data processing systems (e.g., ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, SageMaker, Athena).
• Experience with relational and object databases and web service development standards, including RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Agile development experience using workload management tools like VersionOne/Agility.
• Strong troubleshooting and deployment experience with a deep understanding of transforming business/functional requirements into efficient technical solutions.
• Experience with system integrations, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities; capable of resolving urgent issues calmly and effectively.
• Ability to perform well in high-stress environments.
• Flexibility to embrace challenges beyond comfort zones.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience generating test reports from automation test runs using tools like Cucumber Report, Extent Report.
• Experience with OpenShift.
• Working knowledge of MQ.
• AWS Certification.
• DevOps and/or automation experience in code testing, building, and deployment.
• Experience in the airline industry.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and HP-UX operating systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop highly efficient and effective software using Java, C#, Python, .NET, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs.
• Enhance and maintain on-prem and internal PaaS applications, with active reworking for AWS migration.
• Design and implement serverless patterns from containerized applications.
• Build industry-standard APIs, establish, consume & route calls, and manage connectivity protocols and policy.
• Develop architecture patterns optimized for SLAs, reliability, and cost.
• Anticipate future consequences of immediate technical choices by considering upstream and downstream impacts.
• Promote a culture of software craftsmanship, including TDD/BDD, Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
• Drive performance improvements through monitoring, metrics, and problem-solving to optimize function efficiency.
• Ensure early adherence to security standards and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Proactively address and prevent technical debt.
• Actively participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, aiming for continuous improvement.
• Foster collaboration, share ideas, and communicate critical information clearly and timely.
• Lead code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain usable documentation/playbooks.
• Balance usability and performance needs while communicating trade-offs across the team.
• Optimize pace and consistently meet deadlines.
• Administer product upgrades and patches.
• Provide support to team members, including troubleshooting and maintaining production systems/applications.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation.
