You will play an integral role as our Senior Cloud Engineer carrying out activities to monitor, manage, and report on cloud related activities.

You will play a key role in technical advisory for Cloud (Azure/AWS) Traditional and Hyperconverged Infrastructure mainly focused in MS Azure.

About the Role

You will work with the IT Product Owner – Common Infrastructure to implement the cloud strategy and with external Service Providers and consulting organizations to ensure an optimal cloud offering and environment exists for BSL.

To achieve this, you will:

• Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines (IAAS /PAAS/DevOps and SAAS)
• Offer recommendations with respect to cloud migrations and prepare technical implementation roadmaps for Azure adoption.
• Regularly review existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
• Responsible for the planning, design, development, management, maintenance, and support of Azure environment.
• Triage business requirements and define Infrastructure hosting, Implementing innovative solutions to host applications.
• Help in modelling, analysing, and optimizing business processes that are often repeated, ongoing, or predictable.

More About You

With your extensive knowledge of cloud engineering and IT Infrastructure you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
• Experience in a Cloud Engineer role including Administration of Microsoft Azure
• Demonstrated competency across servers, storage, with solid hands-on experience in Azure and multi-server, hyperconverged, virtualized Windows environment (e.g. VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
• Experience of working with external vendors and partners.
• Proven problem solving/troubleshooting skills and excellent analysis skills
• General programming and scripting ability
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows protocols, software, and Active Directory
• High level knowledge of common hardware technologies, Microsoft SQL & Other Database platforms
• Full understanding of end-to-end IT solution & project delivery lifecycle
• High level knowledge on API management/ Container orchestration/ Configuration management and Data management/OS management/Virtualisation management and IT automation.
