Communications Assistant
Arriva Rail London are looking for a communications Assistant to join the team.
This is an exciting and engaging role suited to someone who would like to develop a career in both internal and external communications. The purpose of the role will coordinate and support the planning and tactical delivery of internal and external initiatives whilst also managing and maintaining the intranet and the internal news platform along with the company website.

The purpose of the role will coordinate and support the planning and tactical delivery of internal and external initiatives whilst also managing and maintaining the intranet and the internal news platform along with the company website.
Produce creative content which may involve filming, editing and design
Come up with new and interesting ways to engage people internally and externally with ARL
Deliver accurate and timely reporting, analysis and evaluation for both internal and external communications
Support the organisation of the leadership conference
Logistics for a variety of events
Managing an image library and associated photo shoots and filming
Working with the communications team to create and share internal and external communications
Lead on Yammer engagement
Information checking and collation
Coordinate and develop the press office and work closely with partner press offices
Provide general administrative support to the communications department
GSCE Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent
Desirable: English, journalism, communications higher/further education qualifications
Experience of working in a busy communications department or agency and will have supported all aspects of communication with both tactical and administrative support.
Proactive and able to support projects and lead on the co-ordination of a busy communications team
Proven technical competency in creating content for digital communications with good IT skills and in a range of communications methods
Able to build relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders
Good oral and written communications speaks clearly in a compelling manner to individuals and groups, holding others’ attention
Writes in a clear and concise manner, using appropriate grammar, style and language for the audience
