Production Assembler

Position Summary

The production assembler will assemble fabricated parts and mechanisms using hand tools and power tools to complete units and meet product specifications. Work takes place at floor stations and on assembly lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Read work orders and diagrams

Use manual and power hand tools to assemble units
Assisting in shop when necessary
Following safety procedures while on plant premises
Ensure that parts and units meet DDS Cisaplast USA LLC standards
Light industrial assembly and manufacturing
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Being responsible for quality control
Communicating with other operators
Turning off and locking out equipment when not in use
Performing back-up for assemblers
Working in a team environment to efficiently package required orders
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

1-2 years of related experience working in similar industry preferred; additional education may be substituted for years of work experience
Clean background check and drug screen
Good oral and written communication skills
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to be a team player and meet deadlines
Ability to work 10-hour days

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and steel toe work boots. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The work environment is not temperature controlled.
