What will your typical day look like?
As a member of the Innovation Centre of Excellence (COE) team, you will work with teams across the Financial Advisory business to discover and deliver new innovation and technology opportunities to transform the way we work and deliver value to clients.
You will play a key role on a highly collaborative team with responsibilities that include:
- Uncovering opportunities for innovation and/or digital transformation by conducting research on leading edge technologies, products, and organizations
- Support innovation sprints and session design activities including coordinating with stakeholders, developing content, and organizing deliverables across different teams
- Actively participating in discovery sessions focused on idea generation and concept development
- Support technology procurement and software management efforts to ensure our teams are enabled with the latest software and product offerings
- Contribute to the curation of innovation and technology focused thoughtware and content
About the team
The Innovation Centre of Excellence is a team of dedicated resources focused on helping our Financial Advisory business develop and incubate new services, assets, and business models; and enhance our existing services through the application of design thinking, data science and digital technologies. We partner with delivery teams to accelerate innovation and digital opportunities through a range of activities including facilitating “art of the possible” sessions; leading innovation sprints; creating proofs of concept; assisting with the development of technology and data assets; providing oversight and expertise on technology driven projects; and further cultivating Deloitte’s community of innovation catalysts.
Permanent Analysts within Financial Advisory join our Quick Start development program. Through Quick Start, analysts receive up-front training covering key topics from across our Financial Advisory practice, including advisory and technical skills, quality/risk processes, engagement lifecycle, and project management principles. Once the training is complete, our analysts are deployed on client engagements, proposals, and strategic initiatives. A CPA stream is available for analysts who need to obtain working hours for their designation.
The objective of our Quick Start program is to provide analysts with exposure to a broad range of engagements, projects, and initiatives from across all service lines within our Financial Advisory practice. By developing core skills across multiple dimensions, the program aims to assist our analysts in building their careers as future advisors and agile leaders.

In this role, the expected qualifications are:
- Working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Math, Business, or other relevant Degree.
- Experience with Product Management and/or Design UX/UI, wireframing, agile ways of working, and digital development is considered an asset.
- The ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with creative ability to conceptualize and articulate new approaches and solutions.
- The ability to take initiative, self-direct and function independently as well as work well in a culturally diverse, team-oriented environment with strong teaming skills.
- Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests in addition to strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and produce high quality output with a high degree of task ownership.
