Manager, Performance Management
The Performance Management (PM) team is responsible for advising and assisting business leaders with the management of their practice through performance. PM manages and delivers the execution of all PM processes, which enable professionals to develop their strengths and enhance their career experience, to Deloitte Professionals below the PPMD level across the following businesses: Audit & Assurance, Consulting, Enabling Areas, Government & Public Services (GPS), Risk & Financial Advisory, and Tax.
Work you’ll do
The Performance Management (PM) Manager is responsible for advising and leading their assigned business with the execution of PM processes in alignment with Deloitte’s performance management strategy. This can include:
Owning the relationships with assigned talent business advisors (TBAs) and business leaders (BLs) to execute the PM processes and strategy, including socialization and education as the performance management experience continues to be enhanced globally, while providing exceptional customer service
Executing performance management activities that support the development of our people and enable leaders to make informed performance-based decisions related to promotions, compensation, etc.
Identifying trends in performance data and making recommendations for action, both on the individual professional and practice level
Providing an executive view of PM trends and opportunities to assigned business leaders and talent partners
Advising business leaders, team leaders and coaches on navigating sensitive low performer scenarios
Leading talent and business leaders through the annual performance and promotion cycle, including identifying eligible professionals, advising on readiness, and finalizing/submitting promotion decisions
Reporting to the PM lead for the designated business to ensure consistent and efficient execution of the PM processes, including potential gap identification and risk/issue escalation
Managing and developing PM specialists as they execute the PM process. Serving as a team leader and coach to support career development
Leading colleagues in India who support PM processes
Contributing to strategic projects by:
Understanding the vision, providing thought leadership, and collaborating with business and Talent leaders on PM strategy and operational design
Developing strategic and tactical plans to achieve project goals
Advising on process design, feasibility, and how to navigate within the Talent channel
Conducting a change management and communications needs analysis and creating the materials
Scoping work and planning for identified process changes, as applicable
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years of human resource management or related experience
Strong process improvement and change management skills
Strong project and program management skills
Analytical skills / critical thinking
Strong communication skills and executive presence
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Track record of flexibility and learning agility
Ability to manage multiple complex projects with a virtual team (clients and team members)
Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills
Identifies and resolves issues effectively and appropriately
Handles confidential information appropriately
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Professional certification (PHR or SPHR)
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425-$177,470.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
