The opportunity and team
Deloitte are an award-winning professional services firm with a wide range of services which has positioned us as a market leader around the world. Our Christchurch office is currently looking for a new Receptionist who can also support the wider services team for our Christchurch Office.
In this role you will first and foremost be working on the front line of our Christchurch office,responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first impression for our guests, clients and visiting staff at reception. We’ll also need you to be available to support our team of PA’s and our office administrator with various tasks.
What does your typical day look like?
- Responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first impression for our guests, clients & visiting staff.
- Liaise with our clients and dealing proactively with incoming correspondence/enquiries and responding as appropriate
- Support the PA and Office Services teams with any administration duties and requests as required.
- Involvement across firmwide events and social calendar.

- A positive attitude with excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook experience
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently and accurately
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to unexpected situations
- An outgoing personality – comfortable dealing with senior business people
- Take a customer-centric approach to your role
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential
