Goole Academy are looking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer to join our academy team in November 2022 on a permanent basis.
Goole Academy is a great place to work and all staff are committed to ‘Changing Lives’. Expectations are high and we have an aspirational mind set. We plan to ensure that all our students reach their full potential.
Here at Goole Academy we are on a journey of rapid improvement and are currently ranked as the 2nd highest performing school in East Riding and 3rd out of 55 similar schools nationally. Despite the recent improvements we are not ready to stop developing and improving. Our aim is to be ranked and recognised amongst the top schools in the North of England.
Your new role
As an Education Welfare Officer (EWO), you will provide a service for students and their families. You
will ensure, with others, that students receive education appropriate to their needs by regular
attendance at the academy, assisting them to obtain maximum benefit from their education and be
involved in the development of the service and staff.
If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience required for this position then we would very much like to hear from you.
Your new school
With close to 1000 pupils aged between 11 and 16 housed in a mix of modern and traditional buildings, Goole is a busy and vibrant place with great access and an exciting future. There is significant development and investment on the horizon with the announcement of major multinational companies bringing significant funding to the area. One example of this is the arrival of a £200million Siemens Mobility project developing a brand new train manufacturing plant and supply chain rail village.
Why join our academy?
Our staff are talented and enthusiastic and have all contributed to the academy’s success story. We have a staff rewards budget and socialise both as subject teams and as a whole staff. We also have access to a staff benefits scheme. At Goole, we value the continuous professional development of all our employees and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high-performing multi academy trust.
We offer an extensive range of opportunities, incentives and benefits with this post including:
Visits to the academy would be warmly welcomed by appointment. Please contact the academy on 01405 504000 if you would like to arrange a visit.
