He angitūtanga | About the Role
As a Health and Safety Advisor you will form part of the National Health and Safety Team, on behalf of Ngā Whenua Rāhui. You will provide expert technical advice to support, coach and mentor Directors, Managers and Team Leads to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities, enabling kaimahi to maintain safe behaviours and enhance a proactive safety culture. These roles contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment by supporting the implementation and monitoring of workplace health and safety systems and processes.

You will have a broad Health and Safety background with a strong collaborative approach to your working style, including the ability to influence others to achieve positive health and safety outcomes. You have wide ranging technical knowledge of health and safety management systems, with a particular focus on critical risk. You are a problem solver who delivers practical solutions whilst being flexible and adaptable in adjusting your style to work effectively with different people. There can be times when the workload will be high so the ability to work well under pressure is a must.
