We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our Executive Services Team allocated to a Deputy Chief Executive.

In this highly trusted role, you will provide effective and proactive executive support, being the key point of contact for the DCE.

To be successful in this role you need to have:

• Proven experience working as an Executive Assistant at an executive level.
• Knowledge and understanding of te reo Māori me ona tikanga, and an ability to operate effectively in a Māori cultural setting would be an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks to manage competing priorities.
• Advanced and demonstrated competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications. including MS Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel and finance software with the ability to learn other financial and/or information applications such as Diligent Boards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong project management and event management skills.
• Ability to stay calm in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of administrative processes, systems and technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the personal maturity to manage a range of relationships.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• An understanding and commitment to Tikanga Māori.
• Awareness of the principle of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural responsiveness.
