The pupils, staff and governors of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced learning support assistantsto work with a range of pupils across school. A number of roles are available both full time and part time. We are looking for caring, flexible and conscientious people who display a total commitment to the principles of inclusion.

We are looking for people who have:

• Excellent English and Maths skills
• A good understanding of inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs
• An understanding of how children learn in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Patience, resilience and a positive outlook
• Good organisation and communication skills enabling them to work effectively as part of a team
• The ability to work flexibly and adapt to changes
• The ability to engage with parents and develop positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A strong commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos (you do not need to be Catholic yourself)
