Dewberry Hiring for Marketing Intern – Federal Marketing Team at Fairfax, Virginia Full Time

Dewberry is looking to hire a Marketing Intern to join the Federal Marketing Team in Fairfax, VA for Summer 2022. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and hard-working individual who has an interest in entering the capture management field, specifically learning about the Federal market. The individual in this position will learn and understand what it takes to make it in this field. The goal of this internship opportunity is to expose the candidate to the skillsets needed to enter the field of capture management, understand the opportunities and career paths the field offers and gain exposure to the Federal market. We will work with the candidate to develop a personalized experience tailored to the individual career interests and goals of the candidate.

We will emphasize the lifecycle of capture management; the importance of client management; and the role market research plays in the lifecycle. Tasks and assignments will vary based on current workload and projects; however, this position will introduce the individual to a variety of activities such as writing and editing, marketing activities (supporting presentations, brochure development, desktop publishing, etc.) and business development activities (market research, client debriefs, social media posts, lead generation, etc.). There will be opportunities to work with subject matter experts from multiple disciplines.

The team will work with the candidate to identify areas of interest they would like to learn more about, develop goals, and assign activities that support the candidate’s goals. There will be opportunities to shadow or work on assignments with many professionals in the field to include Director of Federal Marketing, Department Supervisor, capture managers, marketing coordinators, market researchers, desktop publishers, as well as client managers and subject matter experts.

• Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in communications, marketing, or related degree

• Experience preparing Federal SF 330, Best Value, state, local and other miscellaneous proposal formats desired

• Must have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred

• Excellent writing skills

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

• Position may involve occasional overtime
