DHL Express Looking for Warehouse Associate at Winnipeg, MB Full Time

POSITION: AM Warehouse – MAT LEAVE Coverage (end date January 25, 2023)

SCHEDULE: Mon 7:30am – 4:30 pm, and Tues- Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm

PAY: $18.98

OVERALL PURPOSE:
To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing of in-bound/out-bound freight to meet DHL on-time performance standards.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hospital function processing redirects, bad addresses etc. during sort.

Support customer service ie. GEMA, network activities, counter, contacting customers etc.

Support export operations when needed and to obtain:
RAIC, Ramp Side license & X-ray.

Ramp drivers license will be expected to be obtained within 2 months from awarded date and will allow only two approved test attempts.

Ability to drive both Cargo vans, 1 ton and 5 ton trucks

Sort freight while following GSOP guidelines and KPI’s

Move freight within the warehouse area as per agreed safety procedures

Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area.

Participate in maintaining a safe and co-operative work environment.

Scan freight as required.

Other warehouse duties as assigned.

Meet company productivity targets

Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction

Handle shipments in a manner that minimizes damage

Paperwork is 100% complete, accurate and on time

Shipment processing complies 100% with Transport of Dangerous Goods requirements

Follow policy and procedures as outlined by shift Supervisor

Maintain a secure and safe working environment for all staff

Comply with Collective Agreement

Alert operations management of service and safety issues immediately as they occur

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70 lbs per piece, throughout shift.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Meet security requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
General working knowledge of warehouse and inbound functions.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the DHL operations system.

The Government of Canada announced that mandatory vaccination will be required for employees required to have a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) pass or with access to the restricted area of an airport as part of their job function. These changes will be in effect as of October 30th, 2021, and therefore any employee applying to such positions must be able to produce proof of full vaccination.
