An exciting opportunity has arisen to join DHL Supply Chain New Zealand in a Business Development Manager role reporting through to the General Manager of Business Development.

IN THIS JOB YOU WILL BE:

• Actively seek out warehousing opportunities
• Develop and maintain key client relationships and sales leads
• Development of solutions and proposals to meet the client’s requirements
• Establish cost methodologies and preparation of costing models for new clients
• Contract negotiations, preparation and management
• Bring on board and initiate operational solutions for clients
• Lead and support the effective coordination of Business Development activities with other key functional areas

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE?

• Understanding of the New Zealand logistics market
• Broad commercial knowledge and acumen
• Open and effective communication skills – verbal and written, as this is critical to the success of this role
• Professionalism in presentation – dress and manner when meeting, and liaising with Clients
• Advanced PC skills within the Microsoft Office suite
• General skills – self-motivated, proactive, results oriented, ability to easily move between working by yourself to working with the team.
