ACOUNTABILITIES: The maintenance worker is accountable for enduring that repairs are done in a professional, high quality and timely manner with minimal inconvenience to the guests.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A minimum of Grade 11 is required along with at least two years experience in the related field. Certification in the related fields an asset. A valid drivers license is required.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: All hand power and shop tools for the various trades as well as sprayers and pressure washer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Capable of heavy lifting (to easily accommodate a 50-pound lift), standing, bending and working in adverse conditions such as extreme heat and cold.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and follow instructions, as well as excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
Minor carpentry

Minor plumbing

Painting

Gardening

Snow removal

Assisting with boilers

Testing pool water and remedial actions to correct imbalance

Pick up supplies

Observe all safety practices

Perform maintenance inspections and reports

Other duties as requested by Director of Maintenance and Maintenance supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES: It is the responsibility of the maintenance helper to follow safe work practices. To be present and punctual for all scheduled shifts. To carry out repairs in an efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining the high standards expected by the Resort. To report areas of the property that require attention and to follow up.
