We are actively seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM) with a diverse set of program leadership skills to help drive the day-to-day programmatic activity related to the execution and successful delivery of awarded production-based business as part of Draper’s Electronic Systems’ production program management team. Scope of Responsibilities:
The Program Manager (PM) will lead custom microcircuit production programs as assigned within the Draper Electronics System Business Unit. The PM will be accountable for execution and on-time successful delivery of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition production programs having a combined value of $25M+ per year.
Required Programmatic Scope:
The PM will be expected, through their leadership and oversight, to drive:
On-time delivery of program product and contractual deliverables
High buyer/sponsor satisfaction
Achievement of programmatic financials in support of corporate business objectives
Effective program monitoring and control processes via development and use of appropriate data and metrics to track program status, and measure and drive program performance within assigned business area of responsibility.
Compliance to internal policies, program requirements, and quality standards.
Risks and opportunities monitoring and management within area of responsibility.
Collaboration and teamwork among program stakeholders.
Weekly and monthly program reviews to status execution within program area.
Team building and development within program area by providing coaching, mentoring, and training as needed.
Business development efforts as assigned, to include proposals, white papers, and RFIs complete with work statements, schedules, budgets, and technical content.
Critical Technical Knowledge Areas Required:
A strong knowledge of program management best practices, including contracts, program planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
Leadership with humility and respect, always seeking diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive teamwork environment.
Experience and / or DAU training in proposal generation and cost estimating (Truth in Negotiations Act, etc.).
Extensive Earned Value Management (EVM) training and experience
Familiarity with Contract / Subcontract Types & Applications – Fixed Price, Cost Plus & Derivatives
Program management exposure to semiconductor fabrication processes and relevant industry standards related to DoD trusted microelectronics manufacturing within clean room settings.
Excellent people-skills including the ability to manage, strengthen, and grow customer relationships and support both capture activities and lead proposal efforts as required.
Qualifications:
10 years overall business experience including 5+ years of DoD ACAT 1 Level program management experience highly desirable.
Program management experience within ISO9001 and AS9100 manufacturing environments highly desirable.
Organized, detail-oriented, structured thinker, and solid problem-solver skills required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and adjust/direct priorities as needed to address challenges and meet deadlines.
High level of independent judgment and proactivity.
Leadership experience managing complex defense projects under matrixed staff settings to deliver technical product to the DoD.
Security Requirement: Active USA SECRET Clearance required with ability to obtain program-specific clearance up to TSI level.
Education:
Engineering, science, or business degree desired.
MS or MBA degree highly preferred.
EVM training and experience required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
Lean Six-Sigma Blackbelt certification highly desirable.
