Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Planning & Inventory Manager to oversee the demand planning, inventory control, and supply chain forecasting for our dietary supplement product lines. This role is critical in ensuring accurate inventory levels, timely product availability, and optimal sales performance through proactive planning and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Forecasting & Demand Planning

• Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts using historical data, market trends, and collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
• Translate forecasts into actionable supply and production plans, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels across multiple distribution channels to avoid stockouts and overstock situations.
• Implement inventory optimization strategies, including safety stock calculations and reorder point analysis, tailored to fast- and slow-moving SKUs.

Data Analysis & Cleansing

• Own the integrity of demand and inventory data by regularly performing cleansing, validation, and reconciliation tasks.
• Identify and resolve data anomalies that impact forecast accuracy, purchasing decisions, or financial reporting.

Critical Thinking & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze supply chain performance to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
• Apply root cause analysis to forecast inaccuracies, delays, or stock issues, driving solutions that improve performance metrics.

Sourcing & Supply Chain

• Support new product launches by coordinating initial sourcing activities.
• Support new product launches with accurate planning and initial inventory stocking.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of planning, inventory management, or supply chain experience in the dietary supplement/nutraceutical industry.
• Proven ability to lead sales forecasting and demand planning efforts with measurable impact on business performance.
• Strong experience in data cleansing, analysis, and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, D365 Business Central, etc.).
• Proficient in Excel and BI tools for data modeling and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking in complex, fast-paced environments.
