Frontend Engineer

New York, NY (Hybrid)

Our client, a world-renowned Media & Entertainment conglomerate, is looking for an eager and passionate Full-Stack Engineer to join a cross-functional team tasked with a new mission critical initiative to help drive the future of their customer experience. This group is looking to refactor their high traffic CMS based sites to increase user accessibility, experience, and access. As part of this job, you’ll also receive all access training, mentorship, and guidance by industry experts to help you grow as an engineer.

Major Responsibilities:

• Make large developmental contributions to fully functional websites based on business requirements and design specs.

•Follow coding standards, workflow processes, integrations, automations, and the strategic technical direction for our development efforts.

• Perform constructive code reviews and collaborate in larger architecture and design discussions.

• Work closely with team members to provide support and ensure success of key initiatives by having well-planned and balanced objectives.

• Respond to, isolate, and resolve programming problems.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• 2+ years of experience building highly available and scalable websites or equivalent Full-Stack focused work.

• Experience working on high traffic, consumer-facing products.

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript Frameworks (i.e., React, Node, TypeScript, etc.)

• Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks and CI/CD stack along with the ability to deliver in an Agile workflow.

• Understanding of web server technologies (i.e., Apache) and web proxies (i.e., Varnish)

• Working experience within Amazon Web Services inclusive of Lambda, S3 and other micro-services is an added benefit.

• Experience configuring, supporting, and developing within a Content Management System (WordPress, Drupal) is an added benefit.

• Strong communication skills across several teams and within one’s internal team.
