DS Smith Hiring for Machine Operator at Lebanon, IN Full Time

As an Operator, you will play a critical role in helping DS Smith build a more sustainable world. Our Lebanon, Indiana plant is a brand new, state-of-the-art corrugated box manufacturing facility. We redefine Packaging for a changing world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating equipment to ensure production of a quality product
• Loading and unloading items from machines
• Examining products to ensure conformance to quality standards
• Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in the work area
• Performing general cleanup and maintenance of work area
• Troubleshoot and make any necessary adjustments to machinery
• Complete projects within the required timeframes

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
• Math and reasoning skills as well as proven problem-solving skills
• Able to adapt to various temperatures in the plant
• Flexibility to adjust job duties according to plant needs
• Effective communication skills including the ability to create and maintain productive working relationships
