About the Role:

The Finance Analyst has a shared responsibility of Financial Planning (90% of the time) and supporting Admin & Accounting Manager (10% of the time). For Admin & Accounting department the main responsibility is managing AR Process.

Accountabilities for Financial Planning

• BBI/Marketing – Planning, Forecasting and Analysis
  • Oversee the BBI budget, reporting and analysis for Mexico
  • Understand and challenge investment decisions according to the market and P&L needs of the categories
  • Perform the financial planning of BBI expenses throughout the year (Annual plan and latest estimates)
  • Provide accurate, relevant and reliable month end figures along with variance analyses explaining the results vs. prior year, prior forecast and budget
  • Partner with Marketing team to provide finance support and analytics
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support for managers, for example supporting business case justifications
  • Conduct monthly BBI forecast meetings with department heads
  • Develop monthly BBI forecast based upon drivers provided by the department heads
  • Analyze forecast vs. prior year, prior forecast and budget and provide analysis to department heads and Mexico leadership team
• FP&A
  • Prepare and create the financial reports for other areas of the company and the Region for month end closing. Such as sell in reports, categories’ P&Ls, Direct reports and Sales Finance.
  • Support for FP&A deck.
  • Manage Duties for month end closing and balance reconciliations.
  • Update COGS report.
• Pricing
  • Maintain and update a price list by customer/SKU for Finished Goods.
  • Maintain and update a price list by SKU for S&A
  • Create P&Ls for S&A
  • Create cataloging P&Ls for existing SKUs

• Sales Finance
  • Set up contracts in SAP by customer/SKU
  • Create monthly balance conciliations by customer and type of contract
  • Create and control report of promotions for Indirect and Direct

• Continuous Improvement
  • Seek opportunity to improve the process, systems, reporting and analytics within Dyson and be able to present recommendations and influence organization to implement change

About You:

This is what we need you to have:

• A bachelor’s degree in a math, accounting or finance-related major is required and general accounting principles and financial analysis is needed to feel entirely comfortable reading and discussing financial statements
• Experience in Financial or Accounting roles required. Minimum years of experience 2-3 years
• Experience working in forecasting, budgeting, and month end closing. Analyzing and resolving issues around.
• A high level of proficiency in the use of spreadsheets
• Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is required
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Adaptable/flexible – able to multitask
• Superior attention to detail and accuracy
• Interpersonal skills
• Good written and oral communication skills (English and Spanish). Communicate at all levels of business
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

It would be helpful if you also had some of these:

• Desirable experience in working with international companies
• SAP experience is a plus
• Experience working with a sales & marketing area is a major plus
• Experience leading projects a plus
