Position Summary
The School Based Wellness Coach provides professional and compassionate coaching services to students and their families to support students facing mental health, interpersonal and socio-economic difficulties, in order to achieve academic success and high school completion.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• building and maintaining strong relationships with students and families
• providing support with anxiety, mental health, and additional personal stressors
• assisting in building peer relationships and navigating difficulties between peers
• delivering group programming and school programming with a focus on increasing knowledge and fostering abilities that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness
• providing ongoing emotional support by connecting with families through home visits, emails and telephone calls

Education/Qualifications

• a diploma in Counseling, Social Work or related field
• a minimum of three years related experience including experience in mental health and child and youth development
• experience working as a coach to adolescent students
• strong relationship building, teamwork and communication skills
• knowledge of the local community and available resources

Rate of Pay
$2,256.10 – $2,874.90 bi-weekly
