An excellent career enhancing opportunity is available for an ambitious leader in the position of Curriculum Director at Northumberland College. The successful candidate will lead on specialist Land based and discrete SEND provision, also having additional responsibilities across Education Partnership Northeast. All Land based disciplines including Equine, Animal Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Nursing and Floristry will be in the portfolio of responsibility, as well as specialist SEND provision which is offered within a Land based routes.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and values-based leader to drive improvement towards outstanding Quality of Education. The Faculty Director will lead and develop a careers focused curriculum aligned to national, regional and local economic and skills priorities, strategically lead their subject specialism across the Partnership, foster strong technical partnerships, empower our people and drive excellence for students and apprentices.

You must be able to demonstrate and evidence a track record of successful curriculum leadership, positive cultural and performance improvements and be skilled in motivating and empowering staff and students to raise their aspirations, demonstrate positive progress and to fulfil their potential.
The Faculty Director will have a visual presence at the Kirkley Hall campus, which will be the base for the successful candidate. You will be accountable for the achievement of all targets set in relation to the various funding streams within curriculum areas and take a lead role in the robust annual curriculum planning cycle. You will lead the continued transformation of the curriculum, improve quality and innovation, teaching, learning and assessment across all areas of responsibility, raising them to the highest possible standards, and work directly with the executive leadership team. Role modelling the professional values of Education Partnership Northeast and leading to inform a consistent culture of excellence is a key priority in this role.
