This is a key role in the Inventory/ Supply Chain Team for a family-owned and operated industry leader in wholesale distribution.
With instruction from the Inventory Supervisor, this role will support the Inventory Management Department in the procurement of primary product lines in accordance with established and approved departmental and Company procedures.
This person will also serve as a liaison between the Inventory Management Department and the Sales/Marketing team to help maximize the achievement of company goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Building effective relationships with sales, store personnel, and segment teams to identify and understand customer needs and expectations to provide proper support with current (or new) product offerings and programs
· Leading inventory planning strategy through historical sales activity as well as new sales projections, through collaboration with the field sales team, and product and store managers
· Working with Sales and Product Management to implement inventory / supply chain forecast for events – seasonal buys, inventory promotions, and projects
· Analyzing and tracking the company’s existing inventory investments to provide recommendations to help maximize results toward company goals
· Successfully managing inventory through the product life cycle to minimize slow-moving and obsolete material to maintain a healthy inventory balance.
· Training respective store managers to ensure consistent and proper use of branch dashboards within the Supply Chain Analytics (Visibility) Business Intelligence Tool.
· Evaluating competitive pricing from suppliers.
Other responsibilities may include:
· Placing daily replenishment orders for stock as well as special and direct ship orders for customer requirements
· Managing order adjustments to ensure transaction accuracy, and open purchase order reporting to understand expected receipt dates, past due order follow-ups, and expediting orders as needed to prevent stock-outs
· Coordinate with suppliers and logistics team for purchase order will-call pickups

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
