We are looking for an experienced General Manager for a well established trucking company with 150+ employees. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and process driven.
Responsibilities
· Oversee day-to-day operations
· Set policies and processes
· Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
· Oversee training of employees
· Evaluate and improve operations and efficiency
· Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
· Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
· Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
· Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
· Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
· Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
· Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Requirements and skills
· Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role (previous management in a trucking company an advantage)
· Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
· Strong analytical ability
· Excellent communication skills
· Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
· Problem-solving aptitude
· Business degree an asset
Salary dependand on Experience.
