The Mother Baby Department Clerical Coordinator will provide daily support to the Mother Baby Department and Bellevue Nurse Managers. The Clerical Coordinator is responsible for clerical functions of the Quality Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, routine office functions such as filing, managing department correspondences via phone, in person, email or mailings, and supply management. In addition, the Clerical Coordinator accurately maintains the appointment calendar for department leaders. The incumbent schedules inter and intra department facilitated meetings, coordinates and distributes materials for these meetings. The Clerical Coordinator is required to take minutes for departmental meetings as well as any others when needed. The individual also acts as a resource person for both internal and external inquiries. The incumbent works cooperatively with all areas of the hospital.

The Quality Services Department Clerical Coordinator acts as a hospital liaison for legal and regulatory agencies under the direct supervision of the department leaders. The incumbent must exercise discretion, diplomacy and utmost confidentiality in handling the matters of the Quality Services Department and the customers of the department.
