Embalmer / Funeral Assistant Full Time

Details:

You would be required to be part of a revolving rostered system with every Third week on call.  To compensate for this you would receive a rostered day off the following week ( usually a Monday or Friday to give you a 3 day weekend).

You would be provided with the use of a company vehicle when on call.

Responsibilities:

Transferring of loved ones into our care.

Preparation and embalming to the highest possible standards.

Multimedia slideshow presentations and running of audio visual gear.

Casket Trimming.

Ensuring all company vehicles are clean/tidy and ready for use.

Provide exceptional care to our loved ones, their grieving families and friends.

Assisting the Funeral Director as requested and being a proactive team member.

Skills Required:

Two years experience in the funeral industry would be an advantage.  (There is the opportunity to receive on-job training from qualified team members for the right candidate).

Physically fit and able to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage stressful situations with sensitivity and care.

Attention to detail and can use initiative when required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

A full and clean drivers license.is required.
