A Payroll/Accounting Assistant with Embassy Suites Hotels is responsible for processing payroll, billing, processing invoices after verifying that they have all proper supporting documents, and assisting Director of Finance with other accounting duties in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?
As a Payroll/Accounting Assistant, you would be responsible for processing payroll, billing, processing invoices after verifying that they have all proper supporting documents, and assisting Director of Finance with other accounting duties. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Work with department heads, Director of HR, Director of Finance, and corporate to prepare and process payroll.
Answer telephones and respond to guest billing inquiries.
Greet and assist guests and respond to request in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Perform word-processing, typing, e-mailing, data-entry, filing, faxing, copying, processing mail and taking notes.
Conduct daily and monthly inventories.
Provide research on special projects, as well as preparing reports for various Department Heads, upon request.
Assist with month end responsibilities alongside Director of Finance.
Coordinate receiving tickets, purchase orders and invoices for proper coding and approval signature.
Verify that all tickets, purchase orders and invoices have proper coding and approval signatures.
Ensure that all accounts are current.
Maintain record of payments and ensure vendor files are in proper order.
Reconcile vendor statements.
Prepare daily bank deposits.
