Emerson College Hiring for Admission Home Application Reviewer at Boston, MA Full Time

The Office of Admission is seeking outside readers for the 2022-2023 admission cycle to help with all aspects of our undergraduate application review process. The admissions review is completed holistically, taking into consideration each applicant’s personal, academic, and extracurricular credentials within the context of a selective admissions environment.

This is a paid, hourly, virtual position that requires a time commitment of 5-20 hours a week from the beginning of November until March, with November, December and February being the busiest months. Past application reading and/or experience working in higher education is appreciated, but not required. Compensation begins at $25/hour.

Readers will be trained remotely via Zoom on the Slate reader platform used by undergraduate admissions. Readers must be able to read quickly, carefully, and objectively and will need to maintain frequent communication with the admissions office and be receptive to guidance and feedback from admissions staff.

All applications are read online. Candidates must have a computer with access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection, and must have access to a secure location in which to work.

Salary: $30,537.00
