Having recently graduated or in your final year of study, you will be someone with a curious nature; inquisitive in your understanding of all things data and willing to get into the thick of it. You will be motivated to make an impact alongside some very smart individuals working on some exciting global customer projects.

Working as part of the team, you will have the support and mentorship of our Senior Developers.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd level support for data related issues and help troubleshoot client problems both remotely

• Perform root cause analysis on production data issues and resolve accordingly

• Participate and be an active member of the agile development team throughout the entire DevOps lifecycle.

• Carry out data development services including:

o Maintaining, developing, improving and optimizing ETL pipelines across a range of technologies

o Fixing bugs relating to data processing

o Develop, implement, optimize and maintain databases, data warehouses, views, stored procedures, statements and user-defined functions of varying complexity with a “best practices” approach to keys, indices and relationships in SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and T-SQL

• Follow the development workflow of the development team including writing user stories and bugs, writing code, reviewing code and testing developer code where required.

• Adhere to all coding, documentation, repository management and quality standards laid out by the development team. Ensuring code is maintained, optimized, efficient and concise.

• Maintain automated build and release processes of databases and pipeline deployments using Azure DevOps

• Maintain the product backlog, including logging user stories and bugs to the documented standard.

• Work with other departments to ensure existing applications are smarter and intuitive and designed to meet customers’ needs

• Perform and assist with quality assurance activities as needed

Your skills:

• Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server

• Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and .NET

• Solve problems with an inquisitive and innovative mind

• Take on new challenges

• Staying abreast of new and emerging technologies

• Strong communication skills – written and verbal

• Ability to communicate complex solutions to other colleagues

• Highly motivated and proactive
