The Laboratory Technician I plays an important role in the manufacturing of reagents used in medical devices for diagnostic applications worldwide. No experience is necessary. You will be provided training on best laboratory practices, lab safety, operating lab automation devices, quality control, lab processes / procedures, and cGMP good document practices. This position reports to the laboratory manager.

Overall Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned work.
• Works and communicates effectively with Team members to attain common manufacturing goals.
• Reports to assigned shift on time and ready to perform duties of the job
• Follows without deviation detailed verbal and written instructions
• Maintains consistent quality and efficiency in laboratory work processes.
• Ensures proper operation of automated equipment
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized – supports 5S workplace organization improvements.
• Follows laboratory PPE requirements, including proper gowning techniques for clean areas.
• Maintains accurate production records according to regulations
• Complies with established Quality Management System standards
• Completes documents relevant to responsibilities (e.g., Work Instructions, Checklists, Batch Records, Logs)
• Keeps consumables stocked to ensure that materials are available and workstation ready for operation.
• Handles Hazardous chemicals following, without any exception, the company’s safety requirements.
• Available to work overtime/helping during other shift times or weekends, as requested.
• Completes successfully all on-site training programs in a timely manner
• Perform other related duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

• At least one year experience in manufactory environment
• Previous experience working in an ISO-9000 or cGMP environment.
• Microsoft Windows and Excel proficiency.
• Previous experience working with Hazardous Chemicals.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds.

Basic Minimum Requirements:

• High School degree with lab experience or College Degree with STEM background
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proven ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Tuesday – Saturday 2nd shift (3pm – 11:30pm). Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Louisville, KY are encouraged to apply.
