The Data Engineer will work as part of a team to develop advanced analytical solutions for Experian Health clients, including building new product initiatives for healthcare organizations. Must possess analytical skills to evaluate, understand and interpret data from both an internal and client perspective to build systems which deliver actionable business insights. Looking for an agile professional willing to mentor teammates to accomplish bigger goals. Knowledge of Hadoop systems is preferred with additional on the job training available.

Responsibilities:

Will work as part of a team to develop advanced analytical solutions for Experian Health clients, including building new product initiatives for healthcare organizations.

Must be able to understand and develop data architecture and integration to devise data ingest and extract strategies.

Will need to understand Experian Health data structures and business objectives to extract and organize relevant data for reporting, modeling, and analysis.

Must be able to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively both verbally and in writing to a technical audience.

Support healthcare consulting organization and product development group by providing data and engineering expertise.

Produce data marts and data pipelines.

Oversee development of reporting architecture for enhancing platforms and processes.

This position requires a highly motivated, energetic, and positive person with:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or other engineering discipline required.

A proven track record for executing complex data extraction and ETL projects.

Ability to extract data from large, complex data lake using programming, SQL and ETL tools.

Ability to create appropriate data architectures and pipelines.

Understands software development principles and operations.

Fluency in Python, Bash, SQL, and knowledge of other computer languages.

Experience with Hadoop systems preferred.

Experience with Alteryx is a big plus.

Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and engineering results effectively both verbally and in writing to technical audiences.

Healthcare industry revenue cycle or collections industry experience is a plus.

Good knowledge of Microsoft desktop tools such as Excel and Word.
