Our teams are defining the audio experience for hundreds of millions of users across the Facebook family of apps. We cover all areas of audio processing such as designing, developing, testing, and deploying audio framework and applications, algorithms such as echo cancellation, noise reduction, dereverberation, low bitrate codecs, packet loss, jitter compensation, audio pipeline, ARVR headsets, Portal and other consumer devices. We have teams that are applying DARPA-style breakthrough development at the intersection of ambitious science and product development

Responsibilities:

• We have opportunities both in algorithm R&D as well as driver/firmware related work that include the following responsibilities….
• R&D in the areas of audio signal processing, both device (AGC, AEC, noise suppression, etc.) and network related (codecs, loss/jitter compensation etc.), to deliver best-in-class quality across the Facebook family of apps.
• Develop audio driver, audio firmware or audio AOSP layer
• Identify areas of performance, quality and reliability improvement across the stack
• Work closely with XFN teams – camera, calling, connectivity – to understand features, operation, and specify enhancements.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy audio framework and applications.
• Collaborate closely with both the research and product team to deploy new technologies including augmenting systems and algorithms to make them robust to shipping scenarios

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in audio processing and real-time audio
• Experience in C/C++ multithreaded programing
• Knowledge of audio capture and render frameworks
• Experience integrating, debugging, and shipping audio algorithms and technologies
