Faradays seeks a motivated Marketing and Design Assistant to join its growing team at No. 8 Faraday Street Parnell.

Position Summary:
The Marketing and Design assistant is responsible for supporting the Head of Brand, PR and Communications on delivering the Faradays marketing and communications programs in line with annual, over-arching Brand Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Activation Planning, Calendar Management, Program Development
Support the Head of Brand, PR and Communications in the development and management of an activation plan as part of the annual planning process to achieve the objectives set within the Faradays Brand Plan – this includes in store events, promotions, seasonal launches, and brand launches.
Event management and retail promotion support – coordinating with suppliers and key stakeholders (both internally and externally), drafting run-sheets, and on the day coordination to ensure efficient, timely delivery of activity and implementation.
Support the Head of Brand, PR and Communications in preparation of the required tools, education and collateral for Retail Sales use – such as promotional materials, brand materials, stationery.
Support the Head of Brand, PR and Communications in the monitoring of brand performance reports against sales forecasts, and implementation of reactionary action where necessary in conjunction with sales staff.
Digital and Social Media
Support with follower building, content planning, posting and community management on Faradays social media channels.
Work directly with Faradays external digital agency to manage regular content and copywriting of social media ads.
Support with eDM calendar planning in line with the activation plan and national holiday events – working together with Faradays’ Head of Brand, PR and Communications and Faradays external digital agency to manage output.
Manage regular web-based product uploads end-to-end, together with our buying team and our digital support agency.
Ensure all brand website lifestyle content is up to date in conjunction with the brand activation plan and relevant product drop date.
Proactively prepare and deliver all product content and related copy to Faradays’ digital management agency in a timely manner.
Work directly with Faradays’ digital management agency on content deliverables for all paid digital advertising (including social)
Brand, PR and Communications
Coordinating shoot loans – Exercise judgment in prioritising media opportunities, making necessary coordination with appropriate persons in organising, preparing stock releases, managing inventory and sample dry cleaning requirements.
Copywriting support – including but not limited to, online product bios, social media posts and event invitations – ensure that all content put out by Faradays, both in print and online, is edited to conform to the business’ overall values and messages.
With the support of Head of Brand, PR and Communications, create digital assets to support team sales and key brand moments – including but not limited to new collection look books, VIP previews, VM signage and invitation design.
Project Management and Reporting Support
Support the Head of Brand, PR and Communications to deliver multiple projects on time and to business objectives.
Support Head of Brand, PR and Communications with preparation of analysis reports on various activities (including but not limited to brand performance, social media performance, ad performance, effectiveness of brand activity and VIC clientelling)
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
Is a dedicated and polished, and shares a passion for the world’s finest fashion design, accessories and decor.
Will hold the role as an ambassador for the Faradays brand, who provides unsurpassed service within the most exclusive luxury businesses in New Zealand.
Has a recently completed degree in a relevant field (marketing, design, communications or fashion) or has 1-3 years of professional experience in the field.
Has a talent for copywriting and understanding of how to write to appeal to the luxury consumer.
Has an eye for design, with the ability to apply that to the creation of small scale documents such as VIP preview collection PDFs, social media post layouts, VM signage and event invitations.
Brings a demonstrated ability to be self motivated, with a keenness to learn, and a proactive, solutions-focussed mindset.
Has a well-developed understanding of international luxury fashion, trends, business and culture.
Is quick-thinking and highly adaptable to change in the fast-paced, ever evolving environment of luxury fashion and retail.
Has a desire to deliver world-class work.
