About Us

Our broadacre cropping farm based at Wool Bay on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula is a proudly family-owned operation which blends our values of our care for the land with progressive farming techniques. Our medium-sized cropping program maintains a cereals and legumes rotation and a small amount of livestock, supported by modern machinery, technology and approaches to efficient practices.

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a farm hand with a passion for the land to join our team. While farm hand experience and a broad range of skills complementary to a farming role is important, we’re much more interested in your willingness to learn and develop in the role and desire to build a long career with our team.

While no two days will look the same in this role, your responsibilities will span all areas of farm and farm maintenance including:

• operation of light and heavy vehicles, machinery and equipment including tractors, trucks, air seeder, header, spreader, sprayer, rollers, chaser bin, augers and small motors
• regular servicing and repairs of machinery and equipment to ensure the efficiency of our operations
• use of modern farming technology required for paddock operations and record-keeping
• monitoring and repair of water infrastructure, fences, sheds and other farm property
• maintain clean and tidy vehicles for the benefit of the whole team.

Who are you?

Our successful candidate will be familiar with the needs of a successful farming environment and comfortable with all aspects of joining a family farm team. You’ll value a positive and energetic working environment and have a strong motivation to be involved with all aspects of our operations. While not essential, a mechanical mind, engineering / welding skills and an HC drivers licence will be highly regarded.
