About the Role

The Supply Chain team plays a critical role in enabling the business to achieve objectives, always looking for opportunities to improve our customers’ experiences or increase our efficiency. Processes throughout the value chain are crying out for optimisation and this role ensures the data needed to make that happen is available for the team.

Our Supply Chain Analysts supports the business across the full spectrum, from raw material purchases through to delivery to our international customers.

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will be dedicated to data analysis and project work to improve performance measures and data sharing, by providing comprehensive reporting and solutions.

About you

We are looking for someone who has a background in supply chain, is analytical, has strong project management skills and wanting to work on strategic projects with both quantitative and qualitative factors. You would have a strategic, logical & creative mindset and be able to work in a team environment. As you will be working with senior stakeholders, your ability to present, communicate and engage will be critical.

You are the type of person who loves a puzzle and thinks that every question has a perfect answer, if you can just find the right data or algorithm to solve it. Your tools are languages like SQL and VBA, but you are open to using any solution to get just a little more out of the data.

You like big chunky problems with no clear solution or direction and are willing to strive on your own or work with a team to find that solution. You are not put off by missing data or having to be self-driven.

You are hungry for new challenges and difficult problems, but at the same time would like to optimize and minimize your work to take processor hours rather than people hours and allow you to get onto the next problem.

We use Microsoft products like Excel and PowerBI for investigation and other specialist tools or more embedded organizational software like SQL Server, SAP BOBJ when required. You should be an expert in these Microsoft tools to enable the team but also open to learning new languages and always trying to apply the best data tools available. Analytics is going through a lot of exciting changes and you should be the type of person who is aware of that and wants to take advantage and be constantly learning.

The following skills & experience are preferred:

• Tertiary qualification (Supply Chain, Business or Engineering)
• Tools and Technical preference (SQL, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Python,R)
• 4+ years of experience in an analytical role
