We are looking for a senior software engineer to work within our products team. The ideal candidate has a background in VOIP protocols. Our existing product stack consists of PHP and Angular JS modules deployed in private and public clouds. We leverage a number of external cloud services such as Google Firebase, Google Speech and IBM Watson. This position is based in Melbourne, Australia and is offered as a fixed term contact with an expected duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software design and development, testing and documentation.
- Play a crucial role in expanding the feature set and improving the performance and quality of our product.
- Accurate reporting of project development status using project tracking tools such as Jira.
- Contribute to the architectural design process for new products and solutions.
- Support user acceptance testing, application roll outs, user training and root cause analysis
- Deep dive into cutting edge technologies and work with the products team to transfer ideas into products.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience
- Experience using PHP/Laravel, Angular JS
- Proven track record collaborating with teams.
- Agile adopter with knowledge of test driven development and continuous integration.
- Well versed in software build, deployment activities, programming and architecture best practices, possess excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
