Primary Purpose: Manage the Field Support Services which includes managing Industrial Field Engineers, Field Engineers, Field Service Supervisors, and associated Field Technicians. Partner closely with internal lines of business to exceed the customer’s needs. Essential Functions: * Manager * Prepare and supervise quotations and work scopes for field projects and jobs. * Manage, schedule, and prioritize work to be performed by Field Support team. * Ensure efficient and effective workflow ofField Supportteamin order to meet or exceed customers’ expectations. * Partner closely with the Technical Sales Representative and the Sales Department to exceed customers’ expectations. * Work directly with customers to gain a greater understanding of their present and future needs. * Work with other Field Support Mangers as needed to ensure efficient and effective workflow of field support in order to meet or exceed customers’ expectations. * Work closely and cooperatively with Director, other Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to achieve established goals and promote a team driven environment. * Direct or provide on-the-job training as needed. * Monitor quality measurements, analyze the data, and suggest ways quality can be improved. * Identify and assist with training needs of team. * Ensure that all completed work meets FLANDERS’ Standards and complies with FLANDERS’ ISO Quality System. * Complete and deliver employee performance reviews for department personnel. * Conduct performance corrective counseling in consultation with the Director and/or Human Resources as needed. * Actively participate in the recruitment and hiring of employees. * Communicate clearly, concisely, and with accuracy to employees, customers, and vendors. * Foster good employee/management relations. * Promote teamwork by fostering partnerships with key departments. * Ensure the FLANDERS branding is maintained on equipment and team members are in FLANDERS uniforms. * Appreciate and demonstrate FLANDERS’ Core Values and Principles, Vision, and Corporate Mission. * Provide monthly transaction reporting (Closed jobs, New jobs, WIP) to the Director. * Provide monthly unified transaction reporting (Productivity Data) to the Director * Maintain Services financial data (Revenue / Expense / Margin – SRO level) for weekly reporting to the Director. * Other * Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment as needed. * Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times. * Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times. * Promote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers, vendors, and co-workers on a daily basis. * Provide outstanding customer service at all times. * Perform work according to established company policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as requested. Requirements: * Education: * * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. * *Experience: * Seven years of field engineering or similar engineering experience. * Two years in a leadership/management position preferred. * Four years of industrial field service experience preferred. * Other: * PLC and motor drive experience preferred. * Strong algebra, trigonometry, and analytical geometry skills. * Ability to manage and motive team members located at various locations. * Experience managing individuals and/or a team to achieve defined goals. * Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills. * Strong organizational skills. * Strong problem solving skills. * Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while coordinating multiple high level priorities. * Possess a high level of attention to detail/accuracy. * Ability to partner closely with lines of business to support customers. * Strong knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software. * Ability to foster good employee/management relations and build a strong team effort to fulfill customers’ expectations. * Ability to promote teamwork and direct work of employees. * Ability to train and mentor employees. * Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions. * Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures. * Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to non-routine duties. * Overnight travel including extended stays may be required.
