About us
Te Mātāpuna toa takitini
Fonterra’s strength is in the collective
We are a Co-operative created and owned by Aotearoa New Zealand dairy farmers. Our rich history is built on farming families working together to share the natural goodness of our dairy with the world.
Collaboration, innovation, and passion was the cornerstone of our creation and something we continue to value today through our commitment to care for the land, our animals, and every drop of milk. Our milk creates goodness through nutritious food with safe, quality ingredients that are loved here in New Zealand and around the world.
About the opportunity
Innovation is integral to achieving Fonterra’s long-term aspirations; it is crucial that innovation continues to be evolved as part of our DNA and is embedded into our brand and culture. In 2022, the new portfolio of Innovation and Brand was created to identify growth opportunities to protect shareholder interests and to identify new and highly valuable markets for Fonterra to compete in. This portfolio brings a new level of focus, capability and thinking to help grow the premium value of our products.
The ambition is bold: To be the first dairy cooperative to provide a simplified, integrated and digital sales model that serves global B2B customers’ needs across their end to end buying journey. We believe this will future proof our business and enable us to meet changing customers’ expectations and deliver on the functionality that is missing in existing B2B marketplaces.
From a technology perspective focus areas include eCommerce, Data and Analytics, Sales and Marketing innovation and technology solutions to support new product development.
