About the Job
This role reports to the Programme Manager and supports creation of a global platform to reduce food waste. The Project Manager will work closely with the Tech Team and wider business to deliver technical development projects allowing us to rescue more food and redistribute to those in need.
The role will drive platform improvement ensuring work is prioritised and captured in a single plan.
You will support our Engineering and Product Teams and external facing business teams to ensure solutions are designed, developed, and delivered on time.
You will work closely with Technical Support to help our users resolve technical issues and ensure platform performance.
Core aspects of the role will be to develop, maintain, review, track and communicate project plans and related progress. This will involve leading project check-ins, review meetings and working with technical, business and solutions teams to plan and deliver improvements within agreed parameters and project constraints.
Act as the bridge between the business and the development teams and communicate complex technical concepts in a concise and accessible way so that all stakeholders are engaged and aligned.
Practical understanding of different Agile methodologies and the context in which they can be successful, supporting the team to evolve their approach and practices.
Key Duties
Drive development process and delivery of solutions to ship our platform releases on time according to the Technology Roadmap
Formulate, organise and monitor inter-connected projects
Understand and review requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
Assign, schedule and oversee the daily tasks of the tech team while ensuring all team members are actively working toward established milestones
Facilitate and coach effective communication and negotiation within the team
Maintain the project schedule which aligns with the Technology Roadmap and report project status to the various stakeholder groups
Work with tech support team to understand critical bugs and issues and understand and coordinate their management and resolution
Work cross functionally to ensure an efficient and smooth change programme
Facilitate and coordinate the running of key forums including stand-up, retro’s, sprint review and programme meetings.
Support business and solutions teams in developing trials and expansions with partners.
Qualifications and Skills
2+ years’ experience in a Project Management/Scrum Master role
Professional, accredited project management certification desirable (Agile/Scrum preferred – FoodCloud can provide (re)certification for successful candidate)
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Proven experience with systematic analysis and willingness to dive into technical challenges.
Practical knowledge of working with agile/scrum methodologies.
Excellent time management and organisational skills along with experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
Excellent interpersonal skills required particularly the ability to gain alignment and cooperation with colleagues to deliver a plan that may not meet their specific business needs.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in delivering change both within an organisation and as part of an external service or product
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
Strong leadership skills to direct and motivate the team.
Calm and level headed with the ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
