PAY RATE: $31-$36/hour

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm

LOCATION:Hybrid – Offices in Lakewood and Fort Collins, CO

Job Description:

Forte Dynamicsis a consulting and engineering firm based out of Colorado, working on projects domestically and internationally. We are seeking a contract software engineer. The software engineer will be required to utilize strong python and general coding skills to perform back-end work on in-house modeling software on a contracting basis. This will include adding functionality to the model, improving and de-bugging large python scripts, implementing version control, and testing the software.

The software engineer will work closely with the modeling department to make improvements to the software through individually contracted tasks. This position will allow a hybrid work environment. Contract work can be completed in the office or remotely, but there will be times when in-person attendance is required.

Job Requirements:

• Advanced coding knowledge (specifically with the Python language)
• 1-2 years of computer science education or experience
• Degree in computer science preferred
• Experience with large python scripts, virtual environments, and version control
• Strong communication skills
• Examples of past projects that display the required python skills
• GUI creation and modification
• 3D Array manipulation
• Version Control
• Virtual Environments
• Logic based adaptation
