Part Time Teaching Assistant Vacancy

• Grade 4, scp 7. £20,444 per annum, pro rata
• Rising to £20,852 + £1,347 SEN allowance per annum, pro rata after 1year’s service
• Permanent Contract
• 13 Hours 45 Minutes per week
• Monday 08.40am to 3.35pm & Tuesday 08:40am– 4:30pm
• Term Time only + 2 INSET days
• Starting ASAP

We are seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant to work at Fosse Way School, a school for children aged 4-19, who have an Education, Health and Care plan.

Applicants from specialist or mainstream settings are encouraged. The position will be an excellent opportunity for colleagues looking for a new challenge. Previous experience of working in a special school is an advantage although training will be provided.

The post holder’s responsibilities include providing general classroom support, the meeting of pupils’ emotional, social and physical needs and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum. Applicants will need to be confident, resilient and have excellent communication skills.
