Description
Under general supervision, plan activities of the assigned department by scheduling and prioritizing jobs in collaboration with site supervisors. Use the management systems to achieve the assigned planning and scheduling objectives. Responsible for effective planning, scheduling, communication, preparations, forecasting, monitoring inventory levels, reporting, etc.
Through close interaction with operations supervision, develop daily, monthly, and long-term development plans consistent with department strategic goals. Determine consumable materials, personnel, and equipment resources necessary to achieve plans.
Initiate requests for parts and materials. Interface with Global Sourcing department but may deal directly with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
Manage inventory and permit-related documents to ensure uninterrupted Federal and State explosives permit status
Engage with onsite Global Sourcing to ensure appropriate warehouse minimum/maximum levels, add new materials to stock, and dispose of obsolete materials
Support the area Supervisor in all facets of job preparation, execution and follow up as prescribed by the Freeport-McMoRan standards, including time spent “in the field” to ensure readiness and availability of materials and equipment resources.
Support execution of contracts by preparing scopes of work for internal and external jobs
Understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of information in the SAP management system, for assigned area.
Generate regular and ad hoc reports for site management, to assist with the measurement of key performance indicators.
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED AND
four (4) years specific experience in field maintenance in either mining/manufacturing or industrial operations; OR
four (4) years related field maintenance experience in either mining/manufacturing or industrial operations including two (2) years of specific Planning experience; OR
four (4) years of specific Planning experience in field maintenance in either mining/manufacturing or industrial operations
OR
Associates in technical field AND
two (2) years related experience in field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations OR
two (2) years of specific Planning experience in field maintenance in either mining/manufacturing or industrial operations
OR
Bachelor’s degree in technical field AND
one (1) year related experience in field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations OR
one (1) year of specific Planning experience in field maintenance in either mining/manufacturing or industrial operations
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP proficient and good Microsoft Excel skills
Familiar with BATF requirements for explosives inventory control
Experience in underground mining operations, including LHD operation, blasting, and concrete activities
General knowledge of Maintenance Planning
Basic understanding of Mining and/or Process Equipment
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Basic understanding of maintenance management systems and associated applications
Demonstrated professional/effective written and oral communications skills
Criteria/Conditions:
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Pay Range :
$61,500 – $81,000/Annually
Rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications and skills
