Functions Manager Full Time

Qualifications & experience

• Tertiary Level in Hospitality or Communications is a must
• At least 1 year experience working in functions in a supervisory capacity
• Experience working in club tournaments will be highly regarded
• Background in sales or account management is preferred as it will be beneficial to the role
• Experience in food and beverage is preferred but not essential
• Holds a current Manager’s Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
• Flexible in varying shifts (day/night/weekends) as event hours can differ

Tasks & responsibilities

• Respond to all booking enquiries received via email, phone, or in-person and conduct familiarization with clients.
• Book and manage function calendars including club-related functions and ensure that relevant departments are provided with necessary information.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and in-house team and ensure all event details and requirements are passed on accurately.
• Work with other department heads in developing weekly rosters needed for club or function room events.
• Ensure the efficient running of all club function and function rooms. Be hands on with daily operations, from set-up, event proper, and pack-ups, ensuring that you are visible and contactable in each event to oversee its smooth run or problem solve if required.
• Act as a duty manager and uphold ‘Host Responsibility’ when liquor is involved in an event.
• Ensure that stock levels of items needed for each event are well-maintained and the rooms and equipment are in good working condition.
• Update the booking sheets with accurate information for proper accounts invoicing.
• Ensure and find ways to hit monthly function KPIs.
