Join GDIT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The Navy’s Personnel Modernization (PersMod) team is searching for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their program.

As the Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and managing VPC, URL proxies, C2S access points

• Daily systems administration, monitoring, and system maintenance on RHEL 7 Instances

• Performs software installations, upgrades, patch installs to operating systems and layered software packages

• Diagnosis and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software

• Ensures that performance and security of virtual servers meet the needs of network users

• Troubleshoot and configure servers in a virtual environment

• Assisting end users on the proper use of hardware and software

• Perform periodic SCAP and STIG requirements needed to harden servers

• Conduct basic hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines

• Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers various tasks

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree; additional experience may be substituted for the degree

• 6+ years of experience in network/systems administration; Administering, optimizing, and configuring applications on Linux server; Creating and configuring new servers in a virtual environment (AWS preferred); Improving system operations and functionality, monitoring and optimization of the servers; Configuring cloud services (CloudFormation, Route 53, CloudTrail, API Gateway, etc)

• Experience managing VPC, URL proxies, and C2S access points

• Working knowledge of Oracle databases

• PERSMOD experience

• Security+ Secret; Able to obtain Top Secret Clearance
