GDIT is seeking a Sr. Functional Analyst to serve as the key interface between users and the project team to gather information, develop processes, and confirm documentation. The candidate will elicit, validate, and manage stakeholder requirements, and ensure solutions meet business needs.

Onsite in Baltimore preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing business processes, anticipate requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop optimization strategies to meet business needs.

• Collaborate with project managers, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to perform and document requirements analysis.

• Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

• Assist BESST teams and key stakeholders with questions pertaining to health benefit eligibility requests and responses received on EDI X12 270/271 transactions.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent additional years of experience)

• 8+ years of relevant experience, to include:

• 5+ years of experience on large complex project

• 3+ years of experience working with an Agile implementation team

• Experience facilitating JAD requirements-design sessions

• Experience eliciting, defining, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.

• Knowledge of data integration and software enhancements/planning.

• Understanding of end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Knowledge of Medicare programs and/or experience in a healthcare environment.

• Excellent presentation, documentation, and meeting facilitation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience configuring X12 transactions

• Experience with EDI X12 transaction processing for enterprise application development on TIBCO platform

• Experience with software development lifecycle of Agile IT projects

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Previous experience working with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid

• Ability to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience.
