General Motors Hiring For Software QA Tester – Software Defined Vehicle at Markham, ON Full Time

The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced and motivated candidates for the Software Quality Assurance Engineer in the SDV Infotainment Software Group. The selected candidate shall provide technical expertise to QA team and must have a strong sense of quality ownership. The candidate must have proven expertise in development and deployment of test automation strategies for Android based systems, preferably automotive Infotainment.

What you will do

• Define GM’s Application SDV Infotainment test and automation strategy and develop effective test execution plan aligned to vehicle program milestone.
• Be an expert on automation tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Working as an individual contributor, influence the QA organization’s test automation strategy.
• Develop test tools and test scripts to automate testing effort.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies, and support with hands on testing of Infotainment applications, as required.

Additional Job Description

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of test automation experience in mobile or automotive industry
• 2+ years of experience in testing Android code
• Strong experience with test automation framework, tool development and scripting
• Solid knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools
• Expertise on IBM Rational Tools such as RTC and RQM is preferred
• Programming skills in common languages, such as Python, JAVA, C++ or Perl
• Knowledge of Scrum/Agile software development process
• Experience with vehicle communication network protocols (CAN, MOST etc.) as a plus
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills to motivate the teams, work efficiently and deliver on time in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coordination skills, and interpersonal skills
