Primary Responsibilities
Design and Develop User Interfaces: Craft intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for web applications based on military design standards and best practices.
Military Compliance and Security: Ensure all front-end development adheres to governmental compliance standards, including but not limited to Section 508, FISMA, and other relevant regulations.
Collaborate with UX/UI Designers: Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and design mockups into functional web interfaces, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing user experience.
Optimize Performance: Implement front-end optimization techniques to enhance the performance and loading times of web applications, considering the constraints of government networks.
Cross-browser and Cross-platform Compatibility: Ensure compatibility across various browsers and platforms commonly used within federal agencies.
Accessibility and Usability Testing: Conduct thorough accessibility and usability testing, addressing any identified issues to guarantee a high level of user satisfaction and compliance with military accessibility standards.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for front-end code, ensuring it is well-documented for future reference and potential audits.
Collaboration and Communication: Engage with back-end developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and contribute to a cohesive development process.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in front-end development, especially those relevant to the federal sector.
Required Skills Set
5+ years of Front-End UI/UX development experience
Proficiency in website programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with Vue.Js, React, Next.js, or another modern JavaScript Front End Framework.
Understanding of key website design principles and SEO optimization
Ability to use client input to create functional, creative, and user-friendly web pages
Ability to test and debug websites.
Analytical and detail-oriented
Observant and able to remain focused on tasks for long periods.
MUST have a portfolio or prior verifiable work.
Optional Skills Set
Experience with .NET Razor/Blazor Page Generation
Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Designer
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
DoD 8570.01m Certification required (IAT-II) (or obtain Security+ CE within ninety (90) days of hire)
Security Requirements
Must possess Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
