As a Java Software Engineer Intern at our Chanhassen, MN location, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications to support our business requirements. Embracing the Agile/Scrum methodology, you’ll collaborate with senior software engineers and Quality Analysts to create efficient, well-documented, and error-free Java code. Your role extends to participating in database designs using PostgreSQL and potentially exploring serverless platform technologies.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java applications within Agile methodology, meeting quality standards
Analyze and troubleshoot application-related issues to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with senior software engineers to identify and implement solutions
Participate in code walkthroughs and quality assurance reviews
Assist in the development of new software architecture and stay updated on industry best practices
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Undergraduate studies with a focus on computer science, MIS, or engineering
Completion of sophomore year
Basic understanding of computer programming concepts
Passion and interest in learning programming and software engineering/development
Basic understanding of Java programming language (preferred)
Basic understanding of relational database management systems/SQL (preferred); PostgreSQL knowledge is a plus
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS, preferred)
Shift Availability
Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Flexible Work Program, combining onsite and remote work)
