TITLE: Human Resources Generalist PLANT: Corporate DEPARTMENT: Human Resources REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager FLSA STATUS: Exempt POSITION SUMMARY This salaried position is the team member advocate and liaison between team members and supervision. This position is responsible for the employee life cycle including, but not limited to, data management, compensation, engagement, and retention. ESSENTIAL DUTIES The following list includes the type and scope of work required as part of this position. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Gibbs Die Casting Corporation provides reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities and encourages both prospective and current Team Members to discuss with the human resources department.- Manages candidates through hiring and on-boarding process.- Coordinates with plant management to determine staffing needs and priorities.- Collaborates with staffing agency on temporary staff requirements and issues.- Ensures counseling reports for policy violations and performance issues are administered. Assists supervisors as needed.- Documents and investigates team member complaints. Coordinates with plant management to determine resolution.- Assists with administration of medical leaves, return to work releases, and restricted duty releases.- Maintains team member data in the HRIS system.- Administers the hourly compensation program.- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.- Ensures compliance with applicable legal and corporate guidelines.- Prepares team member separation notices and related documentation; conducts exit interviews.- Assists supervisors with interviews and candidate selection.- Participates in plant-wide team member meetings and recognition/appreciation events.REQUIRED Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field. Experience: Two years; manufacturing experience preferred. Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Computer Skills: HRIS systems; Microsoft Office Suite programs. Management has the right to revise this description at any time.
